BASIC MATH AND STANDARD MATH DIFFERENCE IN CLASS 10TH


Here is not a vast difference between standard math and basic math.

  • Standard Math

1.Questions comes from Ncert.

2.Questions comes from Rd Sharma like ncert exemplar with ncert example.

3.You can easily score above 70/80.

4.You can easily get 70% of marks by covering ncert book.

5. Regular practice of couple of hours can give you a good result. and if you take standard math then you can take math in class 11th otherwise not.

  • Basic Math

1.Questions comes from only ncert no reference book will needed.

2.Questions generally based on concepts and basics which sometimes creates problem if your concepts or basics are not clear regarding the particular chapter.

3.You can easily get 80/80 if you cover whole ncert book with examples.

4.If you take basic math than you can not take math in class 11th.

5. Vary is for those students whose concepts and basics are clear.

SOME COMMON FAQs ABOUT BASIC AND STANDARD MATHS

1. Will there be different classes for Basic and Standard maths students?

No, as stated earlier only pattern of paper will be different. Students will be taught same books and will follow same syllabus.

2. Can a student study Maths after Class 10 if he/she opt for Basic Maths?

No!! Students who wish to appear for basic maths can’t pursue maths in Class 11 or Class 12.

3. What if a student changes his/her mind and want to study Maths after Class 10?

Good news is that CBSE has also made provision for this. If any student wish to continue studying maths after secondary level while his/her result has been, he/she can apply for Standard Maths Compartment exam and can continue studying maths after class 10.
